Rooted Cuttings

Our rooted dahlia cuttings are started through tissue culture, a method we use to nearly eliminate the chance of dahlia viruses, ensuring healthier plants for your garden. We guarantee that each cutting will arrive with vibrant, healthy foliage and a strong, well-developed root system. To avoid delays and ensure swift delivery, we only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays, using UPS as our preferred carrier, as they handle plants with extra care compared to other shipping methods.

Upon receiving your cutting, we recommend potting it up in a 4-inch container with high-quality potting soil (we especially like Sunshine Mix #4). Allow your new plant a couple of days to recover in indirect light before gradually introducing it to direct sunlight. For the best results when planting outdoors, be sure to harden your plant off properly to help it adjust to its new environment. Read about our tissue culture process HERE.
