Return policy

**Dahlia Tuber Policy:**

We guarantee that all dahlia tubers will arrive pre-sprouted, viable, and free from disease. Tubers naturally vary in size and shape—some may be larger or smaller, rounder or more slender. What’s essential is that each tuber is free from rot and includes a section of the crown with a viable eye. Occasionally, a tuber may have multiple eyes, producing several shoots simultaneously, which is perfectly normal.

Once your tuber is in your care, its ongoing health and survival become your responsibility. Therefore, any concerns or issues with your tuber must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. After this time period, we cannot offer replacements or refunds (see policy exception below).

**Order Cancellations and Returns:**

If you need to cancel an order prior to delivery, a 20% restocking fee will apply. Returns are accepted within 2 days of delivery, with the customer responsible for return shipping costs and a 20% restocking fee.

**Policy Exception – Leafy and Crown Gall:**

We are committed to preventing bacterial infections, specifically leafy and crown gall. Our tubers are sourced from plants that have been meticulously inspected, ensuring they have not come into contact with any infected plants. We follow all recommended sanitation practices and are proud to report zero cases of leafy or crown gall from our most recent harvest. If, in the rare event, a tuber you receive develops crown or leafy gall, we will replace it at no cost. Please be aware, however, that gall bacteria can reside in your soil; we recommend planting any replacement tuber in a different location.

**Rooted Cutting Policy:**

We guarantee that your rooted dahlia cuttings will arrive with healthy foliage and a healthy root system. While shipping can be taxing on plants, and slight drooping or fading is expected, we are here to ensure you receive a healthy plant. If any issues arise upon delivery, please contact us within 8 hours and include a photo, and we’ll send a replacement at no additional cost. After delivery, we are no longer responsible for the plant’s health, but we are happy to provide care guidance or answer questions to support you.

We test our donor plants for viruses, and the tissue culture process itself nearly eliminates the risk of viral transmission. However, it’s important to note that even healthy plants grown in open fields with other dahlias can be vulnerable to infections transmitted by common garden pests. For this reason, while we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee your rooted cutting will remain virus-free once introduced to your garden.
